Hockey Canada announces summer camp rosters

Hockey Canada has announced three of their summer camp invite lists.

They initially announced the goalstenders participating in the Program of Excellence Goaltending Camp taking place this weekend.In all, 14 goaltenders are on the list, nine at the Under-20 level and five more at the Under-18 level.

Participating in the Under-20 group are:
-Olivier Roy (Cape Breton - QMJHL)
-Tyler Bunz (Medicine Hat - WHL)
-Mark Visentin (Niagara - OHL)
-Mathieu Corbeil-Theriault (Halifax - QMJHL)
-Jean-Francois Berube (Montreal - QMJHL)
-J.P. Anderson (Mississauga - OHL)
-Kent Simpson (Everett - WHL)
-Louis Domingue (Quebec - QMJHL)
-Calvin Pickard (Seattle - WHL)

The Under-18 goaltenders include:
-Robin Gusse (Chicoutimi - QMJHL)
-Liam Liston (St. Albert - AMHL)
-Jeffrey Noonan (Laval-Montreal - LHMAAAQ)
-Jacob Reily (Brampton - OHL)
Tyson Teichmann (Belleville - OHL)

Following the camp, Hockey Canada will invite some of the goaltenders uncluded back to the Under-18 and Under-20 camps later this summer.

The rest of the U18 and U20 camp rosters have been announced as well

The Under-18 camp includes 14 defensemen and 24 forwards. Following the goaltending camp this weekend, four goaltenders will be added to the camp. The team will be coached by Belleville Bulls (OHL) coach George Burnett.

The summer Under-18 selection camp openes on July 31 in Calgary. From there Hockey Canada will select the players that will represent Canada at the 2010 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament, scheduled for August 10-14 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

The Under-20 camp features 17 defensemen and 24 forwards. Four goaltenders will be added following the goaltending camp this weekend.The evaluation camp is the first of two camps leading into the 2011 World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo. The selection camp will be held in December just prior to the tournament.
